Cubtown is an anything goes slice of life community set in the city of Chicago, Illinois!

what does 'anything goes' mean? we're open to all character types at cubtown. you're free to explore a more traditional, grounded character approach or favor something more outlandish. want to write a motorcycle club member? a jilted ex-gangster? a crime-fighting vigilante? anything goes! as long as it's human and they live in chicago. if you're ever unsure about whether or not something fits, feel free to ask in the mod post (but most likely, the answer will be yes!) it's roleplay; have fun, be creative, go a little crazy.

Currently, we're capping roles at 2 characters per writer. Bullying and harrassment of any kind will result in a ban. Please report misconduct to the moderators here (non-members) or here (members). Moderators reserve up to 24 hours to review inquiries and decide on an action plan. We encourage all of our members to strive to be inclusive to every member of our community.

Joining is easy. All you need is: an ooc journal
a screened bio of ≥ 100 words

request subcomm membership Activity is meant to be low pressure; we require one substantial update per month. non-interactive posts (anything with comments disabled) must be accompanied by links to six public comment threads for the month. Intros must be completed within 72 hours of adds; members who do not intro within the time limit will be considered doa and removed. You must run the friends button once a week; failure to do so can result in removal. Activity checks may be posted. These requirements can always change, so please keep an eye on mod announcements.
